To achieve optimal churning, please also follow these essential practical guidelines:

  • Ingredient temperature: Prepare the mixture in advance and refrigerate it for several hours. Ingredients must be added to the ice cream maker well chilled (approximately 4–6°C) to avoid accelerating the thawing of the bowl.
  • Bowl preparation: Ensure that the freezer bowl remains in the freezer (at a temperature of at least -18°C) for the minimum time indicated in the manual, placing it perfectly upright so that the liquid inside freezes evenly.
  • Start-up sequence: Always turn on the ice cream maker with the paddles already in motion before pouring in the mixture. This will prevent immediate contact with the frozen walls from blocking the rotation.
  • Mixture volume: Never fill the bowl beyond half its capacity, as the ice cream increases in volume during churning by incorporating air.
