To get a good results, it is not necessary to use degreasers or anti-limescale products often harmful to our health.
For ecological and conscious cleaning we can use products that we most likely already have at home. Here are some examples:
Lemon
Squeeze the juice and add it to the water. Bring the kettle to temperature and let the lemon work inside for at least 1 hour. Then empty the appliance and proceed to remove the limescale with a sponge.
At this point rinse and fill it again with water (this time without lemon) and bring to a boil again. After doing this last operation, you can go back to using it.
White vinegar and baking soda
Vinegar and baking soda are also excellent allies for eliminating limescale. To clean the electric kettle, fill it 3/4 full, pour the vinegar to the brim and also put 1 tablespoon of baking soda. Boil and leave it full for several hours (even better if you leave it overnight).
At this point proceed as for the lemon: remove the dirt with the sponge, make another boil cycle with water only and then empty it.
